For many women, putting off their own healthcare has become routine. Between work, caregiving responsibilities, rising costs, and long wait times, medical appointments are often delayed until symptoms become impossible to ignore.

A 2024 survey of 2,000 consumers found that women are 35% more likely than men to say they’ve skipped or delayed medical care over a 12-month period, with affordability and long wait times cited as the leading reasons.

Women often serve as caregivers, coordinators, and decision-makers within their families and communities while also managing careers and personal responsibilities. That constant balancing act can contribute to stress, decision fatigue, and delayed attention to their own healthcare needs.

Clay-Battelle Health Services Association (CBHSA) aims to solve this challenge and help make healthcare more accessible for women in our service area. Our goal is to provide affordable, accommodating care that works with busy schedules and everyday responsibilities.
